RATstands launches £10,000 community programme for schools, charities and music organisations
The UK specialist equipment supplier RATstands has launched a new Community Programme to mark 50 years of supporting musicians worldwide, offering £10,000 worth of product support to schools, charities, educational institutions and non-profit organisations.
The programme is aimed at organisations using music, education and the performing arts to make a positive impact in their communities. RATstands says it wants to support projects where access to reliable equipment can make a meaningful difference to teaching, rehearsal, performance and participation.
The £10,000 fund will be shared between successful applicants, with awards tailored to the needs and potential impact of each project. Support will be provided in the form of RATstands products and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Eligible products include music stands, performance lights, microphone stands, musician chairs, staging, choral risers and other RATstands equipment. The company says the programme could support a wide range of needs, from music stands for a non-profit organisation to staging for a drama school, choral risers for a school or choir, or equipment for a community performance space.
Applications are welcome from registered charities, schools, educational institutions and non-profit organisations working in music, education, performance or community engagement. The programme is open to eligible organisations in the UK and internationally, with international applications considered where RATstands can reasonably deliver the requested products.
There is no minimum or maximum request size, and RATstands says it welcomes applications from organisations of all sizes, from small community initiatives to larger-scale educational programmes.
Applications will close on 18 September 2026. Recipients are expected to be announced by 31 October 2026.
