Restore The Music opens latest school instrument funding round
UK charity Restore The Music is inviting applications schools in England, offering grants to help transform music provision through the purchase of new musical instruments.
The current round is open to non-fee-paying primary and secondary schools in Greater Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle-upon Tyne and London. Schools must submit an Expression of Interest Form before being considered for a full application.
Awards are made as one-off grants, with a maximum allocation of £10,000 for primary schools and £20,000 for secondary schools. Restore The Music says it encourages schools to apply for the maximum amount, with each application considered by the RTM UK Board of Trustees.
The charity’s work aims to give every child access to musical instruments and tuition. Funding may be used to support music provision through new instruments, but proposals may not include tuition fees.
The deadline for pre-award applications is Monday 1 June.
